Summer School Program

As the school year comes to a close, parents start thinking about ways to keep their children engaged and entertained during the summer months. For preschoolers, summer can be a time of learning, exploration, and fun through a summer school program specifically designed for their age group.
A preschool summer school program is a fantastic way for children to continue learning and developing new skills while having fun. These programs are designed to help young children develop social skills, increase their confidence, and enhance their academic abilities through interactive and engaging activities.

Week 1 (July 3) Introduction to Ocean and Marine Biology
Week 2 (July 10) Saving the Ocean Environment (Project)
Week 3 (July 17) The Fish

Week 6 (August 7) Jellyfish, Octopus, and Squids

Summer Fun Activities

Monday: Bubble Play
Bubbles, bubbles, toil, and trouble… (well, minus the trouble)! Blowing and chasing bubbles to their heart’s content is always a crowd-pleaser for children on the playground.
Tuesday: Sports Day
Our LAPMS students can dress up and represent their favorite sports team or explore different sports activities outside with their friends. This will help children explore the inner athletes and team spirit within themselves.
Wednesday: Water Play
Let the aqua fun commence! What a great way to cool down with waterworks that will keep your children squealing, laughing, and refreshed.
Thursday: Chalk Day
The playground is a blank canvas for the children to enjoy time and space to explore color and creativity. You will be in awe of how and what children create from their imaginations to decorate the playground with their artistic chalk creations.
Friday: Hoops and Ropes
From jumping to hula hooping to going through obstacle courses, the children can cultivate their coordination, agility, and balance while playing with hoops and ropes.

  1. Continuation of Learning: A preschool summer school program offers children the opportunity to continue learning throughout the summer months, which helps prevent learning loss that can occur during extended breaks. Through engaging and interactive activities, children can continue to develop new skills and reinforce existing ones.
  2. Socialization: Summer school programs allow children to interact and socialize with their peers. These interactions are essential for children’s development and help them build social skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and communicating with others.
  3. Introduction to New Concepts: Summer school programs often incorporate new concepts and topics that children may not have been exposed to during the school year. This introduction to new ideas can spark children’s curiosity and encourage them to explore and learn more.
  4. Enrichment Activities: Preschool summer school programs often include enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, music, and sports. These activities provide children with an opportunity to explore their creativity, learn new skills, and have fun.
  5. Increased Confidence: Through participation in summer school programs, children gain confidence in their abilities and develop a sense of accomplishment. This increased confidence can carry over into other areas of their lives, such as school and social interactions.

When choosing a preschool summer school program, parents should look for a program that is specifically designed for preschoolers and includes a range of age-appropriate activities. The program should also have experienced and qualified teachers who are skilled in working with young children.
