Summer is a time for fun and adventure, but it’s important to keep kids safe and healthy during the hot months. Here are some essential tips to ensure your little ones enjoy a safe summer.
Always carry a water bottle and encourage kids to drink regularly, even if they don’t feel thirsty. Infuse water with fruit slices to make it more appealing.
Avoid direct sun exposure between 10 AM and 4 PM. Plan outdoor activities for early morning or late afternoon, and use tents or umbrellas for extra shade.
Choose lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. Light-colored clothes reflect sunlight and help keep kids cool. Don’t forget hats and sunglasses!
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher on all exposed skin. Reapply every two hours, especially if swimming or sweating.
