- The children also have the opportunity to work on their school homework through our homework club, ensuring your child’s academic needs are met.
- Through hands-on experiments, children delve into STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), igniting a passion for discovery.
Montessori after-school programs are an investment in your child’s future – a future filled with curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. These programs provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Building Strong Social Skills For Young Children At Learn And Play Montessori schools
At Learn And Play Montessori schools, we believe that fostering strong social skills is as important as academic development; this can be daycare / childcare, preschool, or kindergarten. We deploy age-appropriate ways and use age-appropriate methodologies. We prioritize creating a nurturing environment where young children can learn and practice essential social skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Practical life activities are an integral part of the Montessori curriculum. Through tasks like pouring, cleaning, and serving food, children develop essential social skills such as
grace, courtesy, and cooperation. These activities promote independence, self-control, and respect for others, laying the foundation for positive social interactions.
Grace and courtesy lessons are a fundamental part of our Montessori curriculum. Children learn and practice manners, respectful communication, and appropriate social behavior. They engage in activities that promote greeting others, expressing gratitude, and showing kindness. These lessons foster respect, empathy, and consideration for others, creating a positive social environment. We encourage parents to grace and courtesy at home as well.
Our toddler and Kindergarten programs incorporate collaborative projects and group activities that encourage teamwork, cooperation, and communication. Children work together on tasks, such as building structures, creating artwork, or solving problems, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and achievement. These experiences develop social skills, including effective communication, active listening, and the ability to work harmoniously in a group.
Developing strong social skills is crucial for young children as they navigate the world and build relationships with others.
