Dear Parents,
Fremont Unified School District has announced that they will be closed tomorrow due to the approaching storm.
Learn and Play Montessori Schools will remain open tomorrow, Thursday, December 11th 2014 but as a safety precaution, we advise families to stay home with your child if possible.

Our Thanksgiving potluck was such a great success, Thank you to all the parents who provided such a delicious variety of foods to enjoy with your children and their friends.
The students did such a wonderful job performing Thanksgiving songs while dressed in their own uniquely crafted Pilgrim and Indian outfits.
Our favorite craft made for the Thanksgiving Holiday was the Thanksgiving Placemats that each child was able to bring home to enjoy for years to come.
The holiday season is officially upon us, we are overflowing with excitment and have planned so many fun and exciting things to celebrate.

PUMPKIN PATCH!
October would cease to exist without our pumpkin patch!
Our pumpkin Patch will take place on October 30th and will begin at 9:30 AM.
The pumpkins are $3 for a small cantaloupe sized pumpkin. Payments can be made to the front desk.
Cash payments must be submitted no later than October 26th.
Each classroom will go out with teachers to pick their pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, which will take place in our school parking lot. Parents are welcome to join us for this event. When the children retire to their classrooms, they will decorate their pumpkins and take them home. Volunteers will be requested to take pictures of the children.
Please inquire at the front desk if you are interested. Our classroom schedule for this event will be emailed to you.
HALLOWEEN PARADE
Our Halloween Parade will take place on October 31st and will begin at 9:00 AM. Children must come to school in their Halloween costumes. Superhero costumes that promote violence will not be permitted. To make it easier on our teachers, we request parents to send children to school with comfortable clothing on beneath their costume. All classes are participating in this event and parents are welcome to join. We ask that parents stay behind the blue lines and don’t disrupt the parade as we would love to get a great video to share with all of our parents. Parent volunteers for this event will be appreciated. Please inquire at the front desk if you are interested. Reminders will be sent as the date draws closer.
*All children who attend Learn and Play Montessori are welcome to attend the mentioned events, but must be accompanied by an adult if they are not scheduled to be in their classroom on that day.
Pumpkin Patch

October would cease to exist without our pumpkin patch. Our pumpkin patch will take place on Friday, October 31st 2014. Our parking lot will be transformed into our own Learn and Play Montessori School Pumpkin Patch.
The pumpkins are $3.00 for a small cantaloupe sized pumpkin. Payment will be made to the front desk. Payment must be submitted no later than Friday, October 24th 2014.
Halloween Costume Parade

The parade will be held in our school parking lot in which it will be closed off during the event of pumpkin patch and parade.
As always, make sure to choose a comfortable costume for your child as he/she will be in the costume most of the day. Please understand we are unable to change all children’s costume after the event. Costumes will need to be easily assessable for restroom use. Please consider the multiple factors before picking out your child’s costumes. If you are unsure about the costume or have any questions, please ask the front desk.

At Learn and Play Montessori School LLC, we do not encourage candies or chocolates for children. Please do not send candies, desserts or chocolates to share for the classroom during Halloween events.
